Weeding As we now keep track of documents removed by the Weeding process, it is possible to produce reports and statistics on these data, even after the removal of weeded documents. Erratum in our last issue: The Periodical Weeding function can be accessed from the Catalog module. It had been erroneously reported that it was accessible from the Circulation module. Weeding Statistics Weeding Report Automatic access to PortFolio PortFolio version 6 and above now allows its administrators to associate a Portfolio account with a Windows account, thus facilitating access to PortFolio for its users. In this way, librarians need only enter their access codes at the opening of their Windows session and PortFolio will automatically take the related access codes. This will enable libraries to keep working in secure environments while making it easier for them. One will just need to fill the LDAP field with one’s domain name and one’s corresponding Windows user name. Mondo*Media & Zones __________________________________________________________ Here are the new features of our Portal or Content Management System (CMS) and our Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC). Auto-completion When entering a search term, self-completion displays the most usual searches, thus facilitating and accelerating the search process by suggesting relevant criteria. Spelling Suggestion The Spelling Suggestion function, also known as the "Did you mean ..." function, was previously working with a generic dictionary. It has now been improved and is based on a new indexing engine. In this way, the function will now use your own bibliographic indexes. Highlighting It is now possible to activate the highlighting of search criteria that appear in the Results pages. Reference Manager Our recent developments now allow the use of Zotero or other bibliographic management softwares. This notable achievement, made possible by supporting ContextObjects in Span (COinS) metadata, offers all the possibilities of Reference Management, that is, collection, organization and research sources citing. Contact form You can now configure the Contact form of your OPAC by determining : The size, number and name of fields The drop-down menus The Field indications (ex. : phone number format) To make life easier for your users, we give you the possibility of incorporating default values in the "City", "Province/State" and "Country" fields. Compatible with It is now possible to generate statistics of your OPAC via the Google Analytics service. To do this, a configuration option has been added to Mondo*Media & Zones that allows you to enter the asynchronous localization fragment code provided by Google Analytics to all your catalog pages. This will allow you to get additional statistics from those provided by our software. Compatible with Mondo*Media & Zones can now link its Search Results to Google Books.
